What is Askolia?

Askolia adds AI search and an AI chat widget to your website. Visitors find answers grounded in your content, with links to sources, and your team takes over in a shared inbox when a person is needed. Conversations can continue by email, and host apps can add signed user messaging.

What content can Askolia search?

Askolia searches your published website pages, FAQs and text or Markdown documents. You can also add public websites such as your help centre. Answers link to the sources used. PDF files, private pages and pages that require JavaScript rendering are not imported.

Can I use AI Search without live chat?

Yes. Search-only mode adds search to your website without a chat launcher or messaging. Visitors can browse results, ask follow-up questions and open the sources. AI answers are available during the trial and on Growth or Scale, subject to usage limits.

How is Askolia different from Crisp, Intercom and Zendesk?

Askolia charges a predictable price per project instead of per seat. Growth and Scale include AI search answers and the AI chat widget with no per-resolution fee. Projects can also use encrypted user-to-user or group chat inside an app.

Is the AI agent included in the price?

AI search answers and the AI chat widget are included on Growth and Scale, with no per-resolution fee. Usage limits apply, and AI Search generations are counted separately from support conversations. Starter includes keyword FAQ search and no automated AI replies.

What happens when the AI doesn't know the answer?

AI search shows the sources behind each answer and says so when your content does not support one, instead of guessing. In the chat widget, AI replies are labelled and your team can take over the conversation in the shared inbox.

Does Askolia charge per seat?

No. Every plan includes unlimited agents. Pricing is per project — one website, brand or app environment counts as one billable project.

How much does Askolia cost?

Can I manage several websites from one inbox?

Yes. Add each website as a separately billed project, then manage them together in one shared inbox. Conversations are colour-coded by project so agencies can keep every client site clear and fast to operate.

Can Askolia power chat between users in my app?

Yes. App user chat is included: your backend signs short-lived access for each app user, then Askolia opens a direct or group conversation. It works for marketplaces, member portals, healthcare apps and any product where signed-in users need a drop-in messaging surface.

Can direct app messages be encrypted?

Yes. The widget can encrypt app-user message bodies in the browser with AES-GCM before storing them. Workspace owners can require encrypted payloads for a project, so messages without the client-side encryption key fail closed.
